How can we help?
Answers to common questions. Can’t find yours? Get in touch below.
How do I back up, or move to a new phone?
Go to Settings › Back up or restore and sign in with Google. Your data is then backed up to a hidden folder in your own Google Drive. On the new phone, install Fyntra, choose to sign in, and pick the same Google account: everything comes back, and both phones stay in step.
I forgot my PIN
On the lock screen, tap Forgot PIN? and choose the Google account that holds your backup. That proves it’s you, and you can set a new PIN. Your data stays as it is.
How do I use Fyntra in Bangla?
Go to Settings › Language and choose বাংলা. Fyntra restarts in Bangla. If your phone is set to Bangla, choose System and it follows the phone.
Which files can I import?
CSV files with a heading row: Fyntra’s own export, or a statement from your bank or another money app, as long as it has a date and an amount for each transaction. Go to Settings › Import transactions. You’ll see what will be added before anything changes, transactions you already have are skipped, and Undo import removes a whole import at once. Up to 10,000 rows at a time.
A receipt photo doesn’t show on my other phone
A photo appears on your other phone once the phone that took it has backed up. The other phone downloads it the first time you open it, so it needs an internet connection then.
Does Fyntra connect to my bank?
No. You record transactions yourself, or import a CSV file. Fyntra never reads your text messages or notifications, and never asks for bank passwords.
Which currencies does it support?
Each account keeps its own currency, from Bangladeshi taka to US dollars and more than 20 others. Your total balance adds them up at built-in approximate exchange rates, and says so when it does.
Is Fyntra really free?
Yes. There are no subscriptions, no ads and no data sales.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, go to Settings › Delete my data. Here are all the ways to delete it, including without the app.
Still need help?
Send a message to Zahin Mohammad on Facebook. It helps to include the app version (at the bottom of Settings) and your phone model.
Never send passwords, PINs or full card or account numbers. We will never ask for them.
