Delete your data

Fyntra keeps your financial records on your phone and, if you back up, in your own Google Drive. Here’s how to delete them, and the sign-in record on our server.

If you still have the app

  1. Open Fyntra and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to the end and tap Delete my data.
  3. Review what will be deleted. You can export your transactions first if you want a copy.
  4. Type AGREE and confirm.

This permanently deletes your Google Drive backup (receipt photos included) and the copy on your phone, and removes Fyntra’s access to your Google account. It can’t be undone.

If you no longer have the app

Delete your Google Drive backup

  1. On a computer, open Google Drive with the Google account you used in Fyntra.
  2. Open Settings (the gear) and choose Manage apps.
  3. Find Fyntra, open Options and choose Delete hidden app data.

Remove Fyntra’s access to your Google account

Go to your Google account’s third-party access page, choose Fyntra and remove its access.

Used Fyntra without an account?

Then your data was only ever on your phone, and uninstalling the app deleted it. Nothing is kept anywhere else.

Delete your sign-in record from our server

This only applies if you signed in with Google. Our server keeps your email address, Google account ID, when you first and last used the app, the app version and platform, and whether access was suspended. It never had your financial data.

Deleting your data in the app doesn’t remove this record yet. Ask us, and we’ll delete it.

  1. Send a message to Zahin Mohammad on Facebook (isherezahin).
  2. Ask for your Fyntra sign-in record to be deleted, and include the Google email address you signed in with.

We delete the record within 30 days and let you know when it’s done. If you sign in to Fyntra again afterwards, a new record is created.

What isn’t deleted

  • Crash reports you chose to send. They contain nothing that identifies you or your data, so they can’t be connected to you. Identical problems are grouped, and we keep at most 2,000 of these entries.
  • Copies you made yourself, such as exported CSV files. Delete those wherever you saved them.
